5 Tips on How to Walk your Dog in the Rain
As the winter wonderland ends we are approaching the rainy season and the world fills with puddles and wet little pups. Already excited?
Walking your dog in the rain can be a challenge, but as we know it's important that your pup get the bathroom break and the exercise they need.
Here are some tips & tricks from Paws Up to make those wet little walks more enjoyable.
Tip #1: Shorten the Walk
Consider reducing the length of your walk on rainy days, especially if your dog doesn't enjoy being in the rain. Shorter walks for bathroom breaks can suffice.
Tip #2: Keep Leash Short
In slippery conditions, it's a good idea to keep the leash short to maintain better control over your dog.
Tip #3: Rainy Day Toys
If your dog still has energy to burn after the walk, engage them in indoor activities or play with their favorite toys to keep them entertained.
Tip #4: Use a Dog Raincoat
