GROOMING SERVICES
At Paws Up, we offer grooming services for dogs, cats and puppies. These services include:
- • Brushing
- • Washing
- • Drying
- • Hygienic procedures (nail clipping, ear cleaning, parasite treatment, teeth cleaning)
We also offer a unique spa treatment for dogs, which involves ozone baths and a variety of masks.
Please note that each procedure is tailored specifically to your pet’s needs. Therefore, we will require information about your pet’s age, size, breed, grooming history, coat conditions, medical conditions, and behaviour.
All of these are necessary details to ensure the safety and well-being of your furry friend.
For dogs, the typical grooming cycle is every 1.5 to 2 months, but this can vary based on your dog’s fur type and how well you maintain their coat at home. Regular brushing at home can extend the time between professional grooming sessions.
For cats, if you’re aiming for a well-maintained and beautiful coat, we recommend a grooming cycle of 1 month for brushing and 2-3 months for a full brush and bath.
Feel free to reach out to us for personalised recommendations based on your pet’s needs!
We provide grooming services for dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens. Whether your pet is young or fully grown, we ensure they receive the best care tailored to their needs.
The price of our services depends on the breed and size of your pet and the type of procedures you would like to get. You can find the complete price list here: Grooming Price List.
The duration of a grooming session depends on the condition of your pet’s fur and their behavior. As a general guide:
- • Grooming for small dogs like Pomeranians, Yorkshire Terriers, or Shih Tzus typically takes 2 hours.
- • For medium-sized dogs, it usually takes between 2 to 3 hours.
- • Grooming for large breeds can take 3 to 4 hours.
For a more accurate estimate, we recommend sending us a picture of your pet or calling us at +352 621 147. We’ll be happy to advise you.

Yes, we groom both puppies and kittens!
We strongly recommend introducing them to grooming services from an early age (around 4-5 months) to help them become comfortable with future procedures and reduce stress.
We also offer a special price of €50 per hour for grooming your young furry friends. This first experience is gentle and tailored to ensure your puppy or kitten feels safe and relaxed.

Unfortunately, we do not offer online bookings as all our procedures are tailored directly to your pet’s needs, and we require detailed information about your pet before the grooming to ensure your pet’s safety and well-being.
It's perfectly okay for your pet to feel nervous or anxious during grooming. We handle pets with care and patience to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
However, it’s important to us that your pet is not aggressive toward the groomers or other pets. If your pet does have any aggressive or nervous tendencies (peeing, barking, growling), we urge you to disclose this information prior to the grooming session so we can find a solution comfortable for us and your pet.
To help with the aggression, we highly recommend getting your pet accustomed to grooming from a young age.
If your dog has a tendency to show signs of aggression, such as showing their teeth or biting, we kindly ask that you bring your own muzzle, which we can use during the grooming session to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved.
If you have any concerns or need advice on preparing your pet for grooming, feel free to contact us!
If it’s your pet’s first grooming session, the experience will largely depend on their age.
For younger pets, we handle the session with extra care and patience to ensure they feel comfortable and safe. However, if your pet is older than 9 years, the grooming process may be too stressful for them, especially if it’s their first time.
In such cases, we recommend using dry shampoo, a gentle alternative to traditional grooming. Dry shampoos don’t need to be washed off and can effectively clean your pet’s fur, keeping it fresh without causing unnecessary stress.
If you have any concerns or would like recommendations on how to make your pet’s first grooming session smoother, feel free to reach out to us.
Absolutely! You are more than welcome to stay in our waiting area and observe your pet during their grooming session. We want both you and your pet to feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the process.
